Did you love how voting by mail made your life easier? Or hate how your ballot was incorrect? Or missing? Or the fact that you had to wait in line to vote in person for more than an hour amid a global pandemic?

What did you think of Maryland’s mostly-by-mail 2020 primary, which was fraught with issues at every single step, but resulted in a far bigger turnout than in the 2016 Democratic primary, notably by attracting young and new voters?

Today you have an opportunity to express your thoughts to the Maryland State Board of Elections (SBE) and the public at large.

Nikki Charlson, SBE deputy administrator, will be featured today at 4 p.m. at a virtual “debrief” co-organized by Baltimore Votes, Black Girls Vote, No Boundaries Coalition and OSI-Baltimore.

According to the Eventbrite posting:

“We will talk about lessons learned during the election, and what we can do to plan for – and pull off – a successful General Election in November.”

You can RSVP on Eventbrite to get a link to the Zoom conference, or you can watch the livestream on the Baltimore Votes Facebook page.

Organizers invite the public to complete a brief survey about their satisfaction with the voting process.

Those who have more to say than the survey allows may air their grievances in the comments section.
